Terms of Service

Draft for review. These terms are a draft prepared with the help of an AI assistant from the structure of common SaaS and beta terms. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer and are not legal advice. Placeholders are in [brackets].

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("SponsorHound", "we", "us") about your use of the SponsorHound website, dashboard, API and MCP server (the "Service"). By creating an account or using an API key you accept them. If you use the Service for an organisation, you accept them for that organisation and confirm you may do so.

1. The beta

The Service is in private beta. It is offered free of charge to people we invite, may change or be interrupted at any time, and may have errors. We may end the beta, or your access to it, at any time. The beta is meant for evaluation and feedback; don't rely on it for anything critical.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Data and results

Results are generated automatically from public podcast and newsletter feeds and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. An ad read shows that a brand advertised on a show on a date; it doesn't show payment, budget, rates, audience fit or willingness to sponsor you. Check results before you rely on them. Brand names and trademarks belong to their owners; their appearance doesn't mean they endorse or are affiliated with us or you. Quotes are short excerpts with links to the source, and the source content belongs to its publishers. See data and coverage.

Subject to these terms, you may use results for your own business, including in pitches and reports, but not in a way that breaks section 3.

5. Your content and feedback

You keep any rights in what you send to the Service, such as descriptions of your show. You let us process it to provide and improve the Service, as described in the privacy policy. If you send feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

6. Fees

The beta is free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the prices at least 30 days in advance and you'll only be charged if you choose a paid plan. Paid plans are billed through Stripe in advance each month, renew until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the billing period. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires.

7. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or revoke keys, if you break these terms, if your use risks harm to the Service or others, or when the beta ends. Sections 4, 5 and 8–11 survive termination.

8. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE AND ALL RESULTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DEALS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US$100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service, including how you contact brands or use results.
